Descripción del personaje
Alucard, the Dhampire...
Adrian Farenheights Basarab, son of Dracula and Maria Elisabetta Farenheights, had always despised his condition of Vampire. He was born, as human, in 1453 and was "embraced" (transformed into a Vampire) by his father Vlad Tepes Dracula Basarab III in 1477. He become, like his father, a powerful wizard.
He had been impotent in front of the death of his Mother, whom he loved with all his heart, comdemned to the stake because she had been accused to be an evil witch, while in fact she was a good-hearted person who had saved many people with the medicines she had prepared by her hand.
Remembering that tragical fact, he decided to make Good and to fight against Evil. When he realized that one of the causes of suffering for the world would have been his father's will to bring Chaos to rule over all, he declared his despise for what he had become and he started to call himself Alucard, the reverse of Dracula. And he was completely the opposite of him. His only aims became the salvation of the world and of his haunted soul. To do so, he helped Sonia Belmont to beat his immortal father and, in 1497, he fought alongside Trevorius Belmont to save the world again from the Curse of Dracula. This time, he felt guilty of having destroyed his own father, even if he realized that it was the right thing he had to do.
Alucard believed that, in making good, he would have been able to return to human... He failed.
But he didn't give up hope and, after a long series of failed experiments and spells, he found out a scroll with a forbidden spell inscribed on it. Consuming almost all of his Magic, he succeeded in restoring half of his human side. He had become a Dhampire, that is half Vampire and half Human.
Then, he decided to sleep because, as his beloved mother taught him, he had not to harm anyone, and Alucard knew that, had him decided to continue living in the world, his corrupted blood could force him to betray that sacred promise.
300 years later, he suddendly awoke, hearing the cries of the Darkness which were announcing the Triumph of Chaos and the end of the Light of Hope. He was so worried of this fact, that he decided to go and investigate it. Praying for the aid of his Mother, he left his coffin.
After a few days, he saw once again something he would have rather prefered not to see again: his Father's Castle, CASTLEVANIA...
